Sowing the Seeds of the FutureSeptember 27, 2014;
8am to 12pm
Come out and help us restore 7 acres of old horse pasture back to native vegetation. We will be raking out dead invasive Bermuda grass which was planted years ago. We will then be dispersing native seeds and tilling them back into the soil. These seeds will be irrigated for their first year using the same irrigation system which watered the horse pasture for many years. Over time these seeds will grow into a sustainable landscape which forms desirable habitat for migratory birds.
Meet at the Corn Creek Visitor Center at 8am for sign in.
All ages welcome, bring gloves and eye protection if you have it, otherwise it will be provided.
