Interpretation

Connecting with nature

The mile long Nature Trail has thirteen inspirational interpretive panels to encourage visitors to make their own connections with the natural world.  A “Wetland Connections” trail brochure is available in the Visitor Center.  There are several information panels on the Wildlife Pier.

The Visitor Center houses interactive interpretive exhibits. A variety of facilitated interpretive programs include campfire stories, sights and sounds of the night, guided discovery hikes, bird walks and others. The refuge ranger also does roving, informal interpretation on the refuge.
