2011 Career Discovery Internship ProgramAriel FordMy name is Ariel Ford. I was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, but moved to Dallas, Texas after completing the 6th grade. I definitely think moving away from a small town environment helped me better accept diversity. It also helped me establish a family atmosphere wherever I go, because we are all connected. I attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, UAPB, and I just recently graduated to my sophomore year! In my spare time I enjoy lots and lots of reading and writing. But this summer I plan to spend most of my free time learning more about nature. I actually became interested in applying for a CDIP position when I found out I would have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the outdoors. I’m hoping by the end of summer I will have learned many conservation techniques I can put into use when I get back home in Arkansas. I’m currently majoring in English Education. I am pretty sure that after this summer’s experience I’m going to add Agriculture Education as my second major. I look forward to graduating in 2014 and embarking on my journey to become the best educator I can be. Back to the 2011 CDIP Crew |
