Boat Portage

The boat portage device was installed to provide access to Lake Tecumseh after installation of the weir. It features a solar powered winch to move a boat cart between the lake and Asheville Bridge Canal. Each trip across the berm takes approximately 5 minutes. Instructions for using the boat portage (PDF) are available for download.
