Refuge Guidelines

The following guidelines will help make your visit to the Rappahannock River Valley NWR more safe and enjoyable.

VISITOR ALERT

The rustic walking trails at the Port Royal Unit are CLOSED due to an active bald eagle nest along Roy's Run.  Visitors are invited to observe the eagles and nest from the refuge parking area or the end of Caroline Street.  The trails will reopen when the eaglets fledge, probably in June or July 2008.  Thank you for your cooperation in helping us conserve bald eagles.
