Our Mission
The Rappahannock Wildlife Refuge Friends is an independent, nonprofit group of individuals dedicated to supporting the National Wildlife Refuge System, and to promoting awareness of the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge through education and support.
Friends Activities
• Built kiosks at the Wilna and Hutchinson tracts
• Worked with the Boy Scouts to blaze two trails at Wilna tract
• Cleaned up the road front at Hutchinson tract and installed signs at various locations
• Volunteer at the Annual Kids' Fishing Day
• Participate in local Festivals
• Planted a BayScape Garden at Refuge Headquarters

The Friends group meets the first Thursday of every month, 6:30 p.m. at the Wilna Lodge, located on the Wilna tract of the Refuge. .
