"Naturally Speaking" Quarterly Speaker Series:  The World of the Honey Bee
Thursday, August 6, 2009   7:00 p.m.
Rappahannock Community College - Warsaw

The Rappahannock Wildlife Refuge Friends are hosting a very special evening with Mike Church, who will lecture on "The World of the Honey Bee".  Join him to learn all about honey bees in America -- their history, current plight and their future.  Discussion will focus on the arrival of honey bees to the North American continent, their spread throughout the hemisphere, and their value to mankind.  Hear the latest information concerning the African honey bee and how it relates to Virignia.  Learn how the current plight of the honey bee is influenced by the presence of various diseases, parasites, pests and predators; and how we, the human race, may be their only salvation. There will also be information available about the Northern Neck Beekeepers Club. Everyone is welcome!  For more information, contact Ann Graziano, President of the Friends group, at (804) 366-6851.
