Volunteer Work Day
Saturday, April 12th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Help give a little TLC to the Refuge in preparation for the coming season. Some of the tasks will include tree trimming, debris removal, dismantling an old farm fence, and refurbishing the Visitor Contact Station. International Migratory Bird Day Boat Tour of Presquile NWR
Saturday, May 15,  11:00 AM - 1:00 PM       
Search for Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Egrets, and Osprey during this unique opportunity to travel the waters of the James River with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as your guide.  A 28-foot pontoon boat will lead participants alongside historic Shirley Plantation and Presquile NWR.  Limit 16 participants.  Please note: Children under 10 must bring their own PFD.  Pre-registration required.  Contact Mark Battista with Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation, (804) 706-9690 to pre-register or for additional details.
