Step B: Initiate Public Involvement and Scoping Plan (Completed)

1. Notice of Intent (NOI)
Prepare a Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a CCP, with appropriate NEPA compliance, and publish the NOI in theFederal Register. The NOI initiates public scoping for the CCP/NEPA planning and decision-making process.

2. Initiate Public Scoping
On February 7, 2007, we held our first public meeting! At this meeting participants had the opportunity to learn about existing refuge programs, help the planning team identify key issues, share ideas and concerns, and make recommmendations on how the refuge should be managed in the future. 3. Identify Issues and Data Needs
Analyze all comments gathered and recorded during the scoping process. Identify any new information, issues, concerns, or significant problems, opportunities to resolve them, and potential refinements or revisions of any existing planning unit vision statement and goals. Based on that analysis, identify any additional information and data needed.

D. Develop and Analyze Alternatives, Including the Proposed Action

E. Prepare Draft Plan and NEPA Document

G. Implement Plan, Monitor, and Evaluate

H. Review and Revise Plan
