Latest News in Developing CCP

We are pleased to announce the release of our Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for public review and comment. This document represents over 4 years of work among federal and state agencies, local and regional officials and communities, conservation organizations and user groups.

Click here to view our latest newsletter with highlights of the draft plan.

The draft CCP/EA is out for public review and comment until August 28, 2009.  After a review of those public comments, our Regional Director will then make his decision on the actions to implement.

We are hosting two Public Meetings on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the locations below.  These meetings will include a short presentation on the draft plan, after which Service staff will record any comments you would like to provide. These comments, as well as others received by August 28, 2009, will be considered when editing and finalizing the plan.
