Land Protection Focus Areas

Over the past few months Silvio O. Conte NFWR has received input from partners and the public about where to focus our land conservation efforts.

We have compiled a list of those potential focus areas. As we are able, we will post maps for each of the areas. These focus areas have been identified to us as potentially appropriate for the US Fish and Wildlife Service to play a role through land acquisition from willing sellers. As a part of the CCP process, we will need your help refining these areas and deciding which should included in our conservation efforts and which should be left to others.

We look forward to discussing these conservation opportunities at our upcoming public meetings!
