All programs are FREE but space is LIMITED and advanced registration is required for all programs. Please call 978-465-5753 (press “0” to talk to a staff member) to register. Registration is not complete until you receive confirmation from a staff member. Please note that outdoor programs may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

Birdbrains
Saturday, March 8th, 1-2:30pm, Ages 6-9

Like birds? Ever want to know more about them? Come discover what makes birds special and learn how to identify some of our feathered friends in this fun, interactive program and hike. This program will include both indoor and outdoor activities so dress for the weather. Meet at the Refuge Visitor Center, 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

Spring Ahead! Evening Bird Walk
Sunday, March 9th, 5pm-Sunset, All Ages

Celebrate Daylight Savings by birding with Refuge volunteer Sue McGrath. Participants will explore the different habitats of the refuge and search for newly arriving spring migrants and wintering birds. All levels of bird enthusiasts, including children accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Dress in layers for the weather and wear sturdy, walking shoes. Meet on the refuge at the Maintenance Area parking lot just prior to the North Pool Overlook.

Green Art for Homeschoolers
Thursday March 13th, 10-11:30am, Ages 6-10

Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without! Our green art program for homeschoolers takes this philosophy and puts it to the test by creating art projects out of recycled materials. Be a better earth steward and try fun new arts and crafts by attending this program! Meet at the Refuge Visitor Center, 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.
