Partners in Flight
Partners In Flight / Compañeros en Vuelo / Partenaires d'Envol (PIF) was launched in 1990 in response to growing concerns about declines in the populations of many landbird species, and to emphasize conservation of birds not covered by existing initiatives. With a focus on landbirds, especially neotropical migrants (species that breed in North America and winter in Central and South America) as well as other species requiring terrestrial habitats, PIF's premise has been to combine, coordinate, and increase the resources of public and private organizations in North and South America. PIF is a cooperative partnership between government agencies, private organizations, individuals, academic communities, and industry. Bird Conservation Plans for
