Division of Bird Habitat Conservation Washington Office
The Habitat Branch is focused on the conservation of habitats for migratory birds throughout the region and beyond. The planning, implementation and evaluation of habitat conservation takes place primarily through the regional partnership known as the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture (ACJV).
The ACJV is a partnership between the 17 Atlantic Flyway states, Puerto Rico, federal agencies, non-governmental organizations and others focused on habitat conservation for migratory birds in the Atlantic Flyway of the United States. One of the major funding sources for bird habitat conservation used by partners of the ACJV is the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) grants program.
Atlantic Coast Joint Venture News is a quarterly electronic newsletter on
projects, funding opportunities and other information about and published
by the joint venture.
