ACJV Future EndeavorsHabitat Branch | ACJV Home | Planning Process | Future Endeavors In the near future, JV biologists and partners will be developing population models and population-habitat relationships that will allow partners to better target habitat conservation to areas most likely to benefit priority bird species populations. With this new information and consistent monitoring of populations, partners will be able to measure their success and adjust their efforts. All of this information will be included in a revised JV implementation plan that will include habitat conservation goals, conservation focus areas for waterfowl, and habitat conservation strategies for the joint venture. ACJV partners also have a number of efforts underway to cooperatively assess and manage coastal and associated habitats along the entire U.S. Atlantic Coast. Partners are currently entering and connecting data for shorebirds and waterfowl at key stopover sites throughout the Atlantic Coast into a web-based database system in an effort to:
