Directions to Great Pond Mountain

From the parking lot, bear right after office on the right. Drive/walk approximately 1 mile to a gate. Park on road, but do not block access to gate. Trailhead(s) are on the left. A new trailhead is located a few yards before the jeep trail - foot traffic only. Look for marker "Mt. Trail" and a box on a tree labeled GPMCT.

The trail up the mountain is moderately steep, just under one mile to the summit (a 45-minute hike, on average). From the hatchery it is a four-mile round trip hike, from the trailhead it is two miles.
