Outreach and Education

Outreach provides an opportunity to highlight the successes of our office and educate the public about environmental issues in the lower Great Lakes. Our goal is to educate, inform, and enhance awareness to promote informed decision-making and a better understanding of the role each of us plays in the environment.

Schoolyard Habitats Program

At the Lower Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, the Schoolyard Habitat Program works with partners to restore and create habitat on school grounds throughout Western New York. Schoolyard Habitats not only benefit wildlife, they also get children in touch with nature.
