Office of Law Enforcement | Tolland, CT
The Connecticut law enforcement office is located in the town of Tolland, in the north central area of the state. The office is approximately eighty miles southwest of Boston and twenty miles north of Hartford, the Capitol of the state. The Special Agent assigned to this office has an area of responsibility that includes the State of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The agent also partners with other law enforcement agencies including the Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police and NOAA – Office of Law Enforcement. The CT Special Agent conducts a number of investigations each year that involve the take of federal trust species and result in criminal convictions for violations of federal wildlife law. Several of these cases have involved the illegal shooting of bald eagles; this country’s national symbol which recently rebounded from near extinction in the continental United States. Other investigations have involved the killing of migratory birds and other national trust species. Links
