Earth Day Canoe Trip at James River NWR
Sat., April 19,  10:00 AM
       
Search for Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Egrets, and Osprey to celebrate
Earth Day.  Richmond Audubon Society nature guide will interpret the wild
waterway of Powells Creek and adjacent trail.  Participation is limited.
Canoes and canoe safety training will be provided.  Pre-registration

End of Summer Canoe Trip at James River NWR
Sat., September 13, 9:00 AM
    
Access the waters of Powells Creek through the remote setting at James
River National Wildlife Refuge (Prince George County).   All participants
must bring their own canoe or kayaks and be experienced.   Life preservers
are required.  Cyrus Brame of the US Fish and Wildlife Service will guide
participants and interpret the rich wildlife and diverse history of the
area.  Pre-registration required, limit ten watercraft.  Sponsor: James
