Teamwork and Technology

Since 1974, Green Lake National Fish Hatchery has been an integral part of the Maine Salmon Team, whose goal has been the protection and restoration of salmon and other anadromous fish.  In 1978, Green Lake underwent an enormous renovation, adding a structure that houses 102 rearing tanks for the parr and smolts as well as upgrading the water treatment system.
