2008 Black Bear Hunt

The 2008 Refuge Black Bear Hunt is scheduled for December 12 and 13, with rain make-up dates of December 19 and 20, 2008. A scouting day is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2008.

2008 APPLICATION PERIOD IS CLOSED

.Applications must be received by close of business on October 29, 2008. The refuge will conduct a computer generated random drawing of 50 applicants. The selected hunters will be mailed a notification of their selection by October 31, 2008. Each hunter will then be allowed to designate a guest to hunt with them. The $50.00 permit fee for both the selected hunter and their guest must be received in the refuge office by close of business on November 21, 2008. Hunters should expect receipt of their permit package by December 1, 2008.
