The Friends of Forsythe NWR is looking for individuals, who support the goals of the refuge, to serve on the Board of Directors or assist as members of Advisory Committees.  Friend’s members are the bridge between the Refuge and the community and contribute to its future.  Please share your experience and help create the direction of Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge.  The Board is a working volunteer board, which meets four to six times a year depending on activities with additional committee meetings.  If you would like to volunteer your service and time as a Board member or a Committee Advisor, or for more information, please contact Sandy Perchetti, Refuge Volunteer Coordinator, at 609-652-1665.

Friends of Forsythe Gift Shop now open.  Stop by on the weekends from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Many new items are being offered this year.  Check out the new line of items just for kids!!  Don’t forget—your purchase helps the Friends with their on-going support of the refuge.

Friends of Forsythe is an organization that works closely with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the refuge.  It is incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization.  The office is on Great Creek Road in Oceanville adjacent to the Refuge parking lot.

Our small shop next to the Refuge information booth provides further information, sale of books and other birding items, T-shirts and rental binoculars.  You may also purchase annual passes, Golden Age Passports and Duck Stamps.  Our volunteers are available on weekends through the spring and fall to assist in making your visit to the Refuge a safe and enjoyable one.

Funds raised through sales go to support various projects to help the Refuge.  Educational programs are provided to help the public to better understand and support the Refuge.  Funds are contributed for:
Goods and services for Refuge recreational and educational programs; construction, rehabilitation or maintenance of recreational and educational facilities; other goods and services for biological and other Refuge projects.

Becoming a "Friend" will keep you advised of ongoing activities, new opportunities to help plus updates on the status of development plans for new facilities.
