Field Trips

Are you a teacher interested in bringing your class to the refuge to learn about everything from Migratory Birds to Salt March Ecology? Check out our Field Trip brochure (.pdf - 2.76MB), and give the refuge a call at least two weeks in advance to plan your trip.

We have a trunk that teachers can borrow which is loaded with activities from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Explore the World with Shorbirds! The Shorebird Sister Schools Program Educators Guide. Contact Don Freiday at donald_freiday@fws.gov if you would like a free curriculum CD or to borrow the trunk.
