Directions
to the Northeast Regional Office of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service,
Hadley, MA.
From Boston or other points east of Hadley via I-90 (Mass Pike):
Take Exit 8 (Palmer-Amherst), head south on 32 (right turn), west
onto 20 (right turn), north on 181 (right turn thru Belchertown).
West on 9 (left turn and heading west for about 9 miles to Amherst).
Continue thru Amherst to Hadley. At the intersection of Routes 9
and 116 North (not South) you will see Staples and Applebees on
your left. Take a left at the light and travel about 200 yards and
past the Federal UMass Credit Union to the Regional Office.
From I-91 Northbound:
Take I-91 Exit 19, turn right (east) onto Route 9. Proceed over
the Calvin Coolidge Bridge over the Connecticut River. After approximately
4 miles on Route 9, take a right at the intersection of Routes 9
and 116 North. You will see Staples and Applebees on your right.
Take a right at the light and travel about 200 yards and past the
Federal UMass Credit Union to the Regional Office.
From I-91 Southbound:
Take I-91 Exit 24 Deerfield (approximately one half hour south of
the Vermont/Massachusetts state line). Turn left and follow signs
to 116 South, which will travel through South Deerfield, across
Connecticut River, through Sunderland, and into Hadley. Route 116
intersects with Route 9 at a traffic light. Proceed straight through
the intersection - the Regional Office is located about 200 yards
past Staples and Applebees and behind the Federal UMass Credit Union.
--- At the end of the
driveway/road is a large brick building with U.S. Fish & Wildlife
sign. When possible, use the visitors parking area, which
is the first parking lot on your right. If you need to park in the
back lot, you will need to walk around to the front of the building
to enter. The back entrance is locked, accessible only to employees
with keys.
Use the visitor's parking
lot and upon entering the building, sign in and provide photo identification
to the security guard.
