Maryland fisherman charged with illegal striped bass harvesting arrested for witness tampering

A Chesapeake Bay commercial fisherman faces charges for witness tampering and retaliation in connection to an ongoing investigation of illegal harvesting of striped bass. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service law enforcement special agents participated in the investigation that led to Michael Hayden, Jr.’s arrest. If convicted of these current charges, Hayden faces up to twenty years in prison.
