Vermont’s White River Partnership Recognized Nationally

The White River Partnership has received the Service’s National Fish Passage Program Partner of the Year Award. The Vermont non-profit organization’s rapid response following Tropical Storm Irene led to improved road infrastructure and funding that will ensure public safety and fish passage in the future. Fish-friendly crossings not only protect fish, they are more resilient to flood events. This means they also protect public safety and are more economical.
