Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announces more than $19 million in grants to protect coastal wetlands across the nation


More than $5.1 million in national grants will fund six coastal wetlands projects in the Northeast Region. The projects will protect about 1,000 acres in Broad Dyke Creek in Delaware; Basin, Curtis, Long and Seal coves in Maine; Cohansey Bayshore in New Jersey; Great Marsh Estuary in Massachusetts; and Maquoit Bay in Maine.
