Erie National Wildlife Refuge
Northeast Region

The purpose of the Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) is to describe how the refuge can best be managed to conserve wildlife and provide recreation opportunities over the next 15 years.

Erie National Wildlife Refuge held four meetings to collect the public's input on the refuge's comprehensive plan. The meetings were held to inform the public about the Comprehensive Conservation Plan that will be drafted for the refuge. Participants had the opportunity to provide input at the sessions. Those who could not attend could submit written comments.

NEW!
In September 2011 the Refuge produced a Planning Update to announce that we are now ready to move forward with the Erie NWR CCP in earnest. A new timeline has been set with an estimated completion date in the spring of 2013. Click here to read the Update.
