EPTU-- The eastern painted turtle is a colorful basking turtle that is sometimes confused with red-bellied turtles, such as the northern red-bellied cooter, but the painted turtle can be identified by its smaller size and the yellow lines on its head.Credit: Paul J. Fusco/CT DEEP-Wildlife
