Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge
The refuge is open daily from one half-hour before sunrise to one half-hour after sunset.
Pets must be kept on a leash.
Some areas are closed to visitors.
Closed areas are delineated on refuge maps (available at the Visitor Center and refuge office).

Permitted Activities Include:
- Wildlife Observation
- Photography
- Nature Study
- Walking on the trails and along some roads
Prohibited Activities Include:
- Use of metal detectors
- Use or possession of Firearms or other weapons
- Picnicking
- Collecting plants, animals or artifacts
