Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge is located on the western shore of Delaware Bay, about 32 miles southeast of Dover, Delaware. Freshwater wetlands and salt marshes form a luxuriant mosaic of habitats for migratory birds of the Atlantic Flyway. A significant portion of the greater snow goose population and thousands of ducks visit in winter, while thousands of shorebirds use the wetlands during spring and summer. |
