Prime Hook
National Wildlife Refuge

Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge is located on the western shore of Delaware Bay, about 32 miles southeast of Dover, Delaware. Freshwater wetlands and salt marshes form a luxuriant mosaic of habitats for migratory birds of the Atlantic Flyway. A significant portion of the greater snow goose population and thousands of ducks visit in winter, while thousands of shorebirds use the wetlands during spring and summer.
