Hadley 350th Celebrated in Art

What: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will host an exhibit by artists who live in Hadley as part of Hadley’s year long celebration of its 350th anniversary. The title of the exhibit is 350 X 24: Hadley Artists on Exhibit. Twenty-four different artists will display samples of their work at the exhibit.
Located in Hadley, the Service’s Northeast Regional Office is proud to play a role in helping community members celebrate the artistic beauty that Hadley has to offer.
When: The exhibit runs from November 3 through December 30, 2009. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday except federal holidays. An opening reception will be held Saturday November 7th from 4 pm to 6pm. There is no charge for admission. Adults will be asked to show a photo I.D. to enter the building.
Where: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Gallery, 300 Westgate Center Drive, Hadley, Mass. The building is located south of the intersection of Route 9 and Route 116 North.
Who: Twenty-four different artists will display a variety of artistic styles in this year-end celebration of Hadley’s 350th anniversary. Artwork ranging from realism to abstract will be on exhibit for the two month show. Examples of the types of mediums used in the artwork include oils, watercolor and acrylic paint, pastels, graphite, photography and ceramics.
The Hadley artists are a diverse group of people, some being life long residents and others having enjoyed the pleasures of living in Hadley for just a few years. All artists share a common bond of making art here in Hadley.
