Alternative Transportation

The Chincoteague NWR, Assateague Island National Seashore, Town of Chincoteague, and Accomack County are working with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center on an alternative transportation study.  The study is estimated to take about one year to complete, aims to objectively analyze different ways to address transportation problems--including beach access, traffic, transportation, and other factors.
