* Back Bay surf fishing, freshwater fishing "D" Pool Impoundment open for fishing - panfish only, max 10 - barbless hook, no live minnow bait. Fishing pier. Family Fishing Festival - 1st Saturday in June.
Cedar Island sound and bay fishing boat ramps available
Currituck surf fishing (not actually on refuge land) vehicular access requires 4X4.

On all refuges, State Regulations apply (NEW!!!! Saltwater fishing license required beginning Jan. 1, 2007. A State license is required for ALL hunting and fishing on national wildlife refuges.)
