Open Spaces: America's Wild Read: Silent Spring

America's Wild Read: Silent Spring

Many students are returning to school across the country this week -- and many readers, both young and old, might now be looking for more robust reading material than what they curled up with on the beach or at the pool.

This September, the America's WILD READ book discussion will center around Rachel Carson's iconic work, Silent Spring.

If you're not familiar with our online bookclub, please check it out! The discussions are provided by the Friends of the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in partnership with the NCTC Conservation Library.

We've had a variety of online moderators join us during the past year, including Aldo Leopold and Margaret Atwood!

Join in the discussion -- or read what others have to say.

The Silent Spring posts will start on September 9 -- so find your copy and start reading today!
