Habitat: Rocky flood-scoured riverbanks in gorges or canyons.
Distinguishing Characters: Shrub, 2-10 feet tall with arching upright stems and cream-colored flowers; leaves are alternate and of different sizes and shapes; pecidels, lower leaf surfaces and floral cups are glaucous.
Threats: Reservoir construction, severe flooding or inundation,
highway & railroad maintenance and construction, dumping, extensive
clearing.
