Conserving this Nation’s fish and other aquatic resources cannot be successful without the partnership of Tribes; they manage or influence some of the most important aquatic habitats both on and off reservations. In addition, the Federal government and the Service have distinct and unique obligations toward Tribes based on trust responsibility, treaty provisions, and statutory mandates.

North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative 2012 Funding Announcement

The North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative (NPLCC) is pleased to announce the award of over $300,000 to seven projects that address using Traditional Ecological Knowledge, where appropriate, to help inform natural and cultural resource management. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provided funds to the NPLCC for these projects.
