Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge Bison Roundup Postponed Again

Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge has again postponed the bison roundup. Currently refuge staff are hoping to conduct the bison roundup the week of October 21, 2013. The public will be welcome to watch the roundup activates when the roundup does occur. The annual bison auction which was to be held on October 16 has also been cancelled. Surplus bison will be sold by sealed bid this year. If you are interested in receiving a bid package, please contact the Fort Niobrara NWR office at 39983 Refuge Road, Valentine, NE 69201.
