 Refuge Planning Mountain-Prairie Region |

Help us identify issues and solutions that make the refuge system work for wildlife and people. National wildlife refuges are established for the protection of wildlife and habitat. Use of refuge lands and waters needs to meet the specific purposes for which each refuge was established, as well as the mission of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The planning process is designed to share ideas and suggestions from and to the public, refuge neighbors, cooperating agencies, and others, while developing goals and objectives. |
Even if you live far from a refuge planning area, you may still have an interest in a refuge's management. We need your involvement in the comprehensive conservation planning process during the following: ---Notice of intent to prepare a plan or project (published in the Federal Register) ---Scoping of issues and concerns ---Public review of draft plan, project, and environmental assessment ---Notice of availability of approval of the final plan or project (published in the Federal Register) |
