Upload your photos to our Flickr
Do you have a special photo of you having fun at a National Wildlife Refuge? We’d love to see it! Please add your Get Your Goose On! images to the hundreds that folks from across the country have already uploaded to our Flickr group.
Uploading your submissions to our Flickr group is easy even if you are new to Flickr. Just follow our brief step-by-step guide below.
Step 1: Get Out There!
There are more than 560 National Wildlife Refuges across the country and one within an hour drive of every major metropolitan area.
Get outside and have some fun!
Step 2: Join GYGO on Flickr
Visit us at our GYGO Flickr page and click "Join this Group" at the top of the page.
Note: You'll need to be a member of Flickr before you can join a group. If you aren't already a member, Flickr will walk you through how to create a free account.
Step 3: Upload Your Photos
Once you've joined the group, click the "Add Photos" link to the right of "Group Pool" at the top of the page. Here you can select photos you've already uploaded to your own Flickr account. Once you have selected a photo to share – simply click the "Add to Group" button. Viola! You're done.
“I’ve noticed that many of the people in the Get Your Goose On! photos are holding towels. Do I have to have a towel to submit photos? Where can I get my own towel?”
“All you need to get your goose on is an interest in having a good time outdoors at a national wildlife refuge. Many refuges have non-profit 'Friends of the Refuge' organizations that administer nature stores at their local refuge. Select nature stores have towels available. If you like the idea of posing with a towel, but don't have them available in your area, feel free to download the artwork here and print it out on a sheet of paper or card stock at home."
