Disability Program

The overall objective of the FWS Disability Employment Program is to ensure that positive steps are taken to eliminate barriers that prevent persons with disabilities from participating fairly in all aspects of the FWS employment process, including but not limited to recruitment, training, upward mobility, career counseling, developmental details, and promotions. Efforts of this program are driven by the support of Affirmative employment hiring goals for persons with targeted disabilities, the FWS on-going working relationships with state and local disability employment entities, and the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy.
