Crane in Grass

Fall Crane Tours

These tours are first come/first serve with reservations required in advance and limited seating.

Guests will meet at the refuge headquarters kiosk the day of the tour and should plan to be out for about 2 hours.

Wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes that may get dirty. Binoculars and scopes will be available.

Most of the tour will be in a van, but some walking over uneven ground and climbing into blinds may be necessary to see the birds.

There are no fees for the program. The tours will be geared towards viewing the endangered cranes, but they are classified as extremely rare birds, so sightings are not guaranteed.
