Oct 17 10am Fire Academy - It's an important and natural part of the savanna. Participate in the Fire Academy to learn all about prescribed fire. The Fire Academy is a great and unique opportunity to get hands on with wildland fire operations.

Oct 17 10am Crane Biology - Refuge Biologist will give a presentation about the history of the Mississippi sandhill cranes as well as the current state of affairs. Come to learn more about this majestic bird and the efforts being used to conserve the population.
