Completed Focal Species Conservation Plans

In 2005, the Migratory Bird Program initiated the Focal Species Strategy as a mechanism to better measure our success in achieving our bird conservation priorities and mandates. As part of that strategy, we are developing and implementing action plans for identified species that meet at least one of the following characteristics: 1) High conservation need, 2) May represent broader indicator of system health, 3) High level of current cost-effective effort, 4) Potential to unify partners, and 5) High confidence that factors affecting status can be addressed. The following action plans have been completed and peer reviewed. Additional action plans will be added to this site over time
