Join us for guided hikes into closed areas of Ottawa NWR and Magee Marsh Wildlife area!

Meet at the Migratory Bird Center at Magee Marsh. Most walks last about 1 1/2 hours. Magee Marsh Wildlife Area is located just east of Ottawa NWR's entrance road.

Trails are grassy and participants should dress accordingly for weather and insect conditions.

The Hike the Dikes program is a cooperative effort between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Black Swamp Bird Observatory.

Earn a hiking stick for coming to 3 Hike the Dikes programs in a year!

March 2: Geese! 9 a.m.

April 13: Lake Erie Wing Watch! 9 a.m.

May 10: Wagon Rides - Time to be determined

June 7 : Signs of Summer - 9 a.m.

July 5: Dragonflies! 9 a.m.

Aug. 9 : Sensational Shorebirds - 9 a.m.

Sept. 6 : Prairie walk- 9 a.m.

Oct. 4 : Waterfowl - 9 a.m.
