Auto Tours

The refuge offers a monthly auto tour, weather permitting. Travel 7 miles through normally closed areas of the refuge. Begin at the Trail head parking lot where you can pick up an auto tour guide.

The gate is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Travel the route at your own pace. The exit gate closes at 5:30 p.m.

The refuge office and bookstore are also open on auto tour days. Feel free to stop in and ask about any recent sightings or share you own!
