In 2004, The Mussel Coordination Team and other partners revised the popular booklet “ Freshwater Mussels of the Upper Mississippi River", first produced by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in 1985. The booklet has been a popular outreach tool for mussel identification and conservation.
