The Marquette Biological Station is located in Marquette, Michigan, on the south shore of Lake Superior. The station is staffed by approximately 40 permanent and 60 seasonal employees. The Marquette Biological Station shares responsibility with the Ludington Biological Station to implement control efforts in U.S. waters of the Great Lakes. The Marquette office also operates the Sterile Male Facility at the Hammond Bay Biological Station near Rogers City, Michigan.

The Ludington Biological Station is located in Ludington, Michigan on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Major renovations to the office were completed in 1996. The station is staffed by 14 permanent and 16 seasonal employees. The Ludington station is responsible for control efforts in eastern waters of Lake Michigan and western U.S. waters of Lake Huron.
