Hunting and Fishing
Hunting
Waterfowl hunting is permitted in the Liverpool Lake section of Chautauqua Refuge, which is located outside of the main dike. This hunting area is accessible from the Illinois River only. Public boat launching sites are located in Havana and Liverpool.

Hunting of waterfowl and other migratory game birds, upland game birds, and deer is allowed on portions of the Emiquon Refuge.

Fishing
Sport fishing is permitted on all refuges within the Illinois River Complex. Certain areas on Chautauqua and Meredosia Refuges are closed during designated periods.
