Rehabilitation Plan for the Great Lakes
- Host Lake Sturgeon Coordiantion Meetings to foster communication
and exchange of information relating to the study, management, and
restoration of lake sturgeon in the Great Lakes basin

Great Lakes Lake Sturgeon Tributary Inventory Database and GIS map
that compiles available lake sturgeon data sources to help focus and

- Identify and summarize Great Lakes basin issues that
can be addressed using geospatial technologies
- Inventory existing geospatial capabilities and data
- Distribute pilot decision support system to the field stations for
feedback
- Implement geospatial technologies throughout the Great Lakes basin
- Maintain and update information and the capabilities of the decision
support sytstems
- Assist other committees and programs within the Service and their
partners with development of geospatial technologies to achieve their
long-term outcomes
- As a new committee, establish workgroup members, goals, and objectives
- Strengthen the Service's Coastal Program in the Great Lakes
- Coordinate activities within the other GLBET sub-committees
- Increase and improve coordination with external pertner's coastal
programs and habitat restoration programs
- Increase outreach to Congressional members on coastal resources
- Provide education to the public regarding the values of coastal resources
- Provide input to the Corps of Engineers on the potential impacts
of the Great Lakes Navigation Improvement Project, water level study

species have some form of conservation plan

- Develop priority messages and activities which
will inform about team projects and team outreach efforts
- Survey key stakeholders on their needs and priorities for the team
and for Great Lakes basin issues
- Develop key messages to communicate Great Lakes conservation and
GLBET activities
- Develop a concept/outline for a long-term communications campaign
- Provide a suite of products such as brochures, videos, fact sheets,
etc.
- Provide increased participation and support for Great Lakes basin
issues to the media, Congress, other key stakeholders, and within
our group
